The languages included in http://docs.kde.org/ are hardcoded and taken from
the file www/areas/docs/languages:
ca, cs, da, de, en_GB, eo, es, et, fr, hu, it, ja, nb, nl, nn, pl, pt, pt_BR,
ro, ru, sk, sl, sv, tr, uk
Last content change to that file is from 2005 :(
There is a difference behaviour between the KHelpcenter + docs.kde.org:
KHelpcenter first looks for the language docbooks, if not found it displays the
english docbooks as fallback.
On docs.kde.org for a certain language only the translated language docbooks
appear in the navigation.
With this behaviour it does not make sense to add e.g. a language with only
one translated docbook to that languages file.
So we need to discuss the criterias/rules for inclusion on docs.kde.org/.
Some background information about docs.kde.org/:
The framework for this page was unmaintained from 2005-2009 and the
documentation generation on docs.kde.org was not maintained in that time.
One of our sysadmins (toma) updated that framework and the doc generation in
2009 again.
Me and Yuri nagged him the last weeks with BR's about problems for that site,
as consequence I have now write acces to the framework in svn, but only
limited skills about php and the like, but many ideas for improvements.
Any help is really appreciated here.
The content of docs.kde.org is regenerated once a week (afair friday)
automatically with the actual documentation and the translations using the
scripts in www/areas/docs/.
Switching the release like from 4.4 to 4.5 needs some manual interaction by
one of the sysadmins.
