There are a lot of things you can do! It is sometimes best if you can work on
a topic that interests you (eg an application that you use a lot, or that you
find particularly interesting).
If you aren't familiar with http://bugs.kde.org, that might be a good place to
start. You can search for all the problems that people have reported for
documentation (there is a product called "docs" in the query search) -
perhaps one of those might be right for you?
If you don't want to write something new first up, doing a proofread of some
docs and identifying problems is also a good way to start.
