Only because there's something better to use :)

All the *graphic items are deprecated in favour of *mediaobject.

For an inline image, use like this:
<inlinemediaobject><imageobject><imagedata format="PNG" fileref="path-to-file.
png"/></imageobject></inlinemediaobject>
