So what? I absolutely don't see how this would justify any cosmetic changes in 
the branch, not mentioning _lots_ of them. As everybody should know by now 
the policy for the branches is: no changes whatsoever to the i18n strings. If 
they really (I mean REALLY) can not be avoided due to _important_ bug fixes 
the translators must be notified via posting to kde-i18n-doc.

I still hope it will be the case. This has nothing to do with the above rule 
though.

But every single one of them affects _all_ the translations. They turn fuzzy 
after a merge and if a team does not notice or does not find the time for a 
fix their translations are not used any more. IOW: Cosmetic changes destroy 
lots of translations -- and for what?

I'm afraid it's too late now. Many teams probably have corrected their files 
already. And we would need another merge to get everything back. Please stick 
to the above policy in the future.
