Hi. I'm the creator of Maki. Let me clear a few things up.

By the time Maki was created, the KiView repository was inactive for
over 5 months.

I've been closely monitoring it ever since starting Maki, not only to
get a feel for what is necessary for an app like this, but also if there
is action that warrants contribution. So I am very familiar with the
project and its sponsorship status.

Where was this enthusiasm when I asked you in a discuss post showing off
Maki after a few weeks of development? This post:
https://discuss.kde.org/t/looking-for-feedback-maki-a-new-kde-inspector/46613

I specifically asked whether I should help out KiView or should create
my own project to where you said you weren't very satisfied with KiView
and that starting off "would be fine too". So I did start the project
properly with focus on the things that you mentioned (Clean,
maintainable code, D-Bus activation etc.).

Just before Kristen joined as sponsor there was a LOT of activity on
KiView. At that point I tried to initiate a discussion on matrix about
consolidating efforts and asked you to at least take a look at Maki,
which you refused saying you don't have time.

In the discuss post I mentioned I didn't really mind which project gets
incubated, but since Maki is already incubated, maybe now there is a
reason for you to look at it.

Right now, at least one of us is wasting their time. I don't want it to
be either of us.

If for some reason I did something to upset you personally, my DMs on
Matrix are open to solve this privately.

Cheers,
