unable to open display 127.0.0.1:0

When following the KDE-Cygwin install/setup from this page:
http://webdev.cegit.de/snapshots/kde-cygwin/kde/kde3.4/
I get this message for several processes:
[process]: unable to open display "127.0.0.1:0 <http://127.0.0.1:0>"
ie. xsetroot: unable to open display "127.0.0.1:0 <http://127.0.0.1:0>"
Just wondering what this meant (I'm not a total idiot, just unfamiliar with
Linux shenanigans), and if there might be some way of fixing it.
Any/all help would be more than wonderful.
