With QMAKESPEC=win32-msvc.net you could produce .vcproj files with the command:

qmake -t vcapp appxyz.pro -o appxyz.vcproj

This project file could be imported without problems by the msvc-2005-beta version (msvc8).

P.S. the toolkit 2003 comes without nmake!
