Wondering if it might be worth discussing with him the way he's handling 
paths:
http://www.iidea.pl/~js/qkw/NOTES.paths
Basically it's /C|/temp/whatever
Does this fit in with the general cygwin/MinGW idea?
If this ends up becoming a native KDE implementation on Windows, it 
might be worth others contributing to these basic ideas...
