qt-mt not found

Hi everyone,
I am trying to build KDevelop on top of Cygwin with the new KDE3.1.1,
with a little trouble.  While running ./configure, I ran into the
following problem:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0) (library qt-mt) not
found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

I followed the advice from a similar posting on 5/7/2003:

Following symbolic links were created on /usr/lib/qt3/lib
  ln -fs /opt/kde3/bin/cygqt-mt-3.dll libqt-mt.dll
  ln -fs /opt/kde3/bin/cygqui-1.dll libqui.dll

The resulting file can be listed as below:

Will I need to rebuild qt3 from source with thread support?
Any help on building qt3 with thread support?
