Interesting -debug vs -release

I changed my configure to a -debug to track down the seg fault, now I get=
 some=20
linking errors.

I thought, great, now I have to post to the list saying I do NOT have it=20
compiled and linked. I did a make clean, ./configure <options> -debug, ma=
ke=20
and still get the link errors.

SO, I did a make clean, ./configure <options> -release, make, and everyth=
ing=20
links fine.=20

Grr!

I'll track down the -debug vs -release issue before I check it in.
