[Kde-cvs-announce] kdelibs, kdebase, and plasma-addons moving to Git tomorrow

Dear KDE Account Holder,

This is a message to inform you of some important infrastructure
changes. Tomorrow Subversion will be replaced with Git for kdelibs,
kdebase, plasma-addons. Also Kde-qt is moving to git.kde.org. If you
are working on those modules, you will have to adjust your setup to
this change. The other modules are unaffected.

First of all, make sure that you commit all your pending work before
Jan 29th, 8pm UTC[1]. Alternatively, make sure you have a diff which
you can reapply onto the Git repository.

We will send out a mail once the move has been completed with
additional information such as how to clone the new repositories.

We will try to make the transition as smooth as possible, but it is
possible that something unexpected will happen. While unlikely, it may
become necessary in the first week after the creation of the git
repositories to repush one or more repositories to address issues that
arise. In that case you would have to remove your clone and re-clone.
We will announce any such changes a minimum of 8 hours in advance via
this mailing list.
