So I pushed just now all the patches mentioned in this thread. They should 
address all the feedback I got so far *except* the license "issue" (means it's 
effectively GPLv2) since I didn't get a reply from all the necessary people 
yet to allow relicensing. I don't think I can do much more about that one 
right now.

Any issue still preventing the move in extragear/pim?
