KF5 Update Meeting Minutes 2013-w34

Hello everyone,

This is the minutes of the Week 34 KF5 meeting. As usual it has been held on 
#kde-devel at 4pm Paris time.

Were present: afiestas, apol, dfaure, mgraesslin, sebas, shadeslayer, vHanda, 
wojtask9 and myself.

Announcement:
 * kdelibs splitting tasks open again, effective immediately;
 * still, please push toward completion for cleanups and qt5 epics, we're 
almost there it should have precedence over splitting work (we should avoid 
increasing the wip too much);
 * if you pick something in that page, please pick first the ones already 
marked "in progress" but with no name in front, we've to empty that set.

Topics discussed:
 * afiestas has been working on the platform theme plugin to complete it;
 * he's also adding tests to said plugin;
 * and he keeps working on having QToolBar follow our settings when 
applicable;
 * apol move kglobalsettings to kde4support;
 * he's also working on QCollator;
 * he's about to resume his work in ctrl+return support in dialogs;
 * dfaure is still working on QCommandLineParser to get it in;
 * he implemented QFileDialog::setMimeFilters() based on the KFileDialog 
related work from teo;
 * and he's working on failing autotests in Qt which prevent anything to get 
in;
 * after that he'll resume his work on KIOWidgets;
 * mgraesslin is improving kwindowsystem, porting kwindoweffects to xcb adding 
unit tests along the way;
 * he's reworking FindXCB.cmake too so that it uses components to not have to 
install the whole of xcb for nothing;
 * sebas has been working on plasma to fix bugs;
 * he also plans to help jos with the communication around kf5;
 * he still needs to work on app and plugin provided version numbering for 
KPluginFactory;
 * shadeslayer patch for QSplitter is approved still needs to be integrated;
 * he's also working on the pages per sheet feature for Qt printing system;
 * vHanda is looking at the KLocalizedString vs QLocale task in the cleanups 
page;
 * wojtask9 is still working on the native filters for kmodifierkeyinfo;
 * ervin completed wojtask9 work regarding LINK_PUBLIC/LINK_PRIVATE;
 * cleaned up porting mistakes to QT_STAT*
 * also moving some of the code and resources from the top level folder at 
proper places (like the mimetypes, or the imgio plugins), still more to do;
 * has been reducing some dependencies and found places for classes in 
KDE4Attic;
 * drafting a plan to maybe release without a KDE4Attic, might require work 
around KLocale;
 * removed uses of KLineEdit when they needed only the clear button;
 * reclaimed and completed some of the abandoned cleanup tasks;
 * and last but not least killed kdecore and kdeui completely.
