po2ts might be actually a better solution than using sed

It might work yes, but to be honest I have a workload big enough for now that 
supporting people that doesn't want to use kdecore.

On the other hand we will have to support something like this since the 
frameworks effort has decided their first tier needs translations and can't 
use i18n() so if anyone was to work on this it'd be useful for KF5 too.
