in the initial thread I was in favor of going for Qt 4.8, but I accepted the 
opinion of the majority. I would consider it as a bad incident if you get your 
update to Qt 4.8 by breaking the code.

The main argument for sticking with Qt 4.7 was if I recall correctly that 
Harmattan will not update to Qt 4.8. I guess that this has not changed and if 
it was a good enough argument in January, it should be in June.
