Today, for Kubuntu, we work very hard to package all of the KDE SC because we 
think it's an important value to deliver this upstream set of packages as a 
complete set to our users (IIRC, except for bindings we accomplished that for 
4.7 even with all the package splits).

If there is no more integrated release of a KDE SC, then we really don't need 
to worry about that and so we'll probably focus more just on stuff we use (I 
know the Debian KDE packagers are already planning this due to all the package 
splits).

So I expect that one side effect of doing away with the traditional KDE release 
process will be less KDE software packaged in distributions.
