Actually the USA can't use "Statians" because it would conflict with e.g. the 
United Mexican States (the official name of Mexico).

However either way this part of the thread is about 3-4 messages too long 
already, John already made it clear what he was trying to say, so let's focus 
the remainer of the thread on technical aspects relating to week numbers as 
used in the US please. :)
