It might make sense to create a branding package. Many distributors do
replace the default wallpaper and other images like the splash screen.
In openSUSE there are several RPMs providing the original KDE branding
and there are counterparts providing an openSUSE branding. A separation
of branding-specific artwork (and probably also sound files) would make
life easier for distributors and for developers.
