oxygen _gtk_ style and svn repository

would it be at all possible to set the default style in gtk+ based on the 
desktop env? e.g. use this new oxygen by default when running a gtk+ app in 
Plasma Desktop? (user settings would obviously override..)

if so, that would make everything seamless and really nice.
