Sebastian is right.

You can't add new features to kde-qt.

You can and should clone qt.git (not kde-qt.git) and work from there. Once 
you're done with your feature, you can request merge to Qt 4.8.

Now, it appears you have already done that. Well, I'll put on my list of 
things to do.

But note that you missed the Qt 4.7 deadline by 1½ months (new features needed 
to be ready by February 6). So this is 4.8 material.
