Thanks for the patch, I've committed it as r1074212 to kdelibs, it will be in KDE 4.5 
(as 4.4 is feature-frozen since November already).

Sorry for the iterations, though. I didn't find time to clean up the coding style 
myself, and without it, it can't go in as we'd quickly get an unmaintainable kdelibs 
-- and nobody wants that ;)
