not sure a pure osd really should require interaction, if it does
means thet is important enough to be a notification.
as for standardize that, yeah, i would relly like to, i also think
that as the notifications and the new systray, it should be over dbus,
to have a (very distant those days, i know) hope of standardization,
and to have painting controlled by the workspace without linking to
plasma, that would mean won't be possible much control from the client
application, but this really is a plus :)
i wonder how ubuntu is doing it, perhaps there is an usable dbus intercace?
