I expect any x release to be better than a y release, provided that x and y 
are in the same class and x > y.

Exceptions are major architecture changes, like KDE 4.0.0 (though its 
comparison would be KDE 3.0.0 or 2.0.0)

As long as KDE 4.4.0 is done better than KDE 4.3.0, shouldn't we be happy? It 
will be better than 4.3.2 in the aspect of functionality, overall bugfixes, but 
it might introduce a few regressions. As long we're moving forward, a few 
steps back don't hinder us.

That's not to say we should let that happen blindly. We have to have the effort 
of reducing regressions (those step backs) in each release, compared to the 
previous release of the same class.
