Can we* prettyplease do something about the KUrlNavigator?

I really like this mockup. The different background color makes it clear that 
this element is editable, while it differs optically from a line edit. A 
breadcrumb bar simply is not a line edit in the first place, and this subtle 
presentation detail IMHO vastly improves usability. Still, when one changes to 
the line edit mode, only the background color changes, but not the basic 
shape. Please implement this, someone. For me, URLs do not scale.
