that's exactly why admin mode was removed, to get people to do it "right" as 
in your patch (modulo the time delay issues ossi noted); an even 
better "answer" is to provide an interface that can use PolicyKit for this in 
the background ... but since i don't have time to do this myself, i'll just 
shut up now; just wanted to provide the background for the reason admin mod 
was removed.
