Horizontal automatic scrolling treeview - what can we do with this?

step 1 would be getting it introduced into a few apps and see how it works in 
practice ... once that is successful, then we can look at moving it somewhere 
in libs.

there is no kde-wide animation facility; however it should be checking for 
KGlobalSettings::graphicEffectsLevel() and making the animation fit that.

also, it's probably easier for people to comment on the idea if the code is 
available somewhere in a publicly accessible code repository. you seemed to 
have left that part out in your email? =)
