Trolltech.

The KDE printing system is KDE's. Unless you modify those applications to 
use that printing system, they won't use it.

The fact that you could configure those applications's "lp" command -- 
i.e., pipe the PostScript to it and let it print -- to be kprinter is 
unrelated. Read my email again: it doesn't have to be part of the 
printing system. It can be any application that reads PostScript as its 
input and shows a print dialog.

One other thing: more "modern" applications no longer let you configure 
the lp command.
