Ah! That is what I was afraid of. It's a bit surprising that this didn't come 
up in 10 years. Of course a common ground for i18n flagging and configuring 
is required. Especially for those (so mysterious to me) so keen on running 
KDE on other platforms.

I understand that a problem might occur with translation completeness, when 
KDE has a translation available that is not there for Qt (say, Romanian :-P )

How about letting Qt look for translations provided by third parties?

Of course, this means waiting for a future version, I believe.
