agreed. i've already been hit several times by this and i'd really like to
have the rest of the time to work without further such interuptions.
we've already had a number of "go crazy in kdelibs" periods. at some point we
need to simply realize that kdelibs will never be Perfect(tm), mostly because
we're insane perfectionists with time and energy limits who can always find
something wrong anyways. and then get on with the release. ;)
as for BC, i've already stated that i'll be breaking BC in libplasma in 4.1.
that's in kdebase/workspace, so obviously not as sacred as kdelibs. but i
have pretty much no choice as Qt 4.4 is coming with things that change
certain semantics on us and renders a good chunk of the widget related code
obsolete. at least one app outside of workspace is relying on libplasma right
now, so at least one app is going to get a screwing (though they know about
it, of course =)
