Nobody tried to. Perhaps because of the huge body of code and of lack of 
understanding it. I _do_ understand it, and I think I can manage it a bit, 
but I definitely lack any measurable span of time (at least until end of this 
year, but perhaps later too).

Yes, I was very unhappy to see one of the best technologies we have in KDE 
relegated to the dumpster, but I tried to be the least frictional possible, 
as I _know_ I don't have time to help.
