I wouldn't. SVG support in Qt sucks. =)
It lacks many important features, blur over all, but it fails also on so many 
cases that it is just impossible to have a correct rendering of icons, if not  
of "simple" ones which do not use advanced SVG tricks.
I've been told at akademy that this will be solved with the integration of 
webkit support in Qt, which will happen in time for KDE 4.1. If that, as I 
hope, will solve the problems we have, I'll be the first suggesting to do 
that. But we're not ready for that point, yet. =)
