In the short term, yes. In the long term, no.

My issue is that if you require yours to be the only version, then 
people are either forced to use it, or they won't use it at all because 
they feel it is too "clunky". I would prefer to use both /for now/ so 
that we can collect the 'real use data' you keep talking about. Then in 
a few weeks we can decide if one is suitable to being removed. I don't 
consider providing only the one method a fair means of gathering 'real 
use data'.
