Saving files to remote locations atomically in KDE 3.5

Hi,

I've been fixing KolourPaint in KDE 3.5 to do atomic saves.

For local files, I now use KSaveFile.

For remote files, I KIO::NetAccess::upload() the temporary local file to the 
remote location.  However, I know this is not atomic at least with fish://.  
Is there some sort of KSaveRemoteFile?  Why do other applications do?
