KNewStuff download location

moin,

for various GHNS-relevant kdm resources (wallpaper & theme so far), i
need to be able to tell KNS to download into $prefix, not $KDEHOME.
afaict, this is currently impossible. so i am wondering what a good
solution would be? maybe via the "magic" convention of prefixing the
category with a slash, like "/wallpapers" instead of just "wallpapers"?
preferably, a kde3 solution would be needed as well, otherwise i have
to simply disable the wallpaper download button in kcm_kdm context.
