Patch for klaptopdaemon and its future.

Hello KDE-core ;)

Lurking into klaptopdaemon(KLD) bug reports I came into
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118291 which proposes a patch since
almost 1 year ago.

The patch is quite simple and useful IMHO. I could try it harder if you need
some feedback. The problem is that as per conversation on #kde-devel,
klaptopdaemon seems to be cursed. Even this patch is old and simple noone
cared about committing it.

I think there are several reasons for that. KLD is supposed to be an
unmaintained piece of code, yet there isn't any "offical" KDE replacement
for it[1]. Being such unmaintained, it's not planned to be included on KDE4
using the KDE3 approach so, any option here? I have been told that there's
a battery plasmoid for kde4 but shouldn't be solid that handle this? [2]

As a conclusion I'm concerned about a)the patch commit for (possible) 3.5.8
release of KDE where the proposed patch fits quite well IMO, and b)
handling laptop specific features on KDE4 somehow.

Regards,

[1] alternatives are kpowersave and kde-guidance-powermanager which has
their pros and cons, yet they aren't KDE official.
