yeah, not fun.

i deal with this on a regular basis between bug trackers, vcs, etc... when 
dealing with other projects and it's not fun. remember that many of the 
people who get involved do so with rather spare time and resources.

asking them to essentially double their learning time to get involved is 
pretty rediculous. svn is not so bad that introducing more complexity is 
necessary at this point, imho.

i really don't see why we can't just be a bit patient, make it easy as 
possible for people to keep developing with kde and move to git (or whatever) 
in the future all at once ...
