If it works exactly the same way, yes (maybe).
E.g. in Qt4 the official name of qmake is still qmake.
This is bad. Qt4 qmake and Qt3 qmake can't be exchanged.
If some tool needs to find qmake, it can't detect on the name which one it 
got.
So some distributions rename Qt4 qmake, so Qt4 qmake can be "qmake" 
or "qmake4" or "qmake-qt4".

So e.g. for kde4autmoc the 4 definitely makes sense, since it probably won't 
work for Qt5 (whenever that will be).
