No, this is not a cmake problem. Automake/autoconf had similar problems if 
you tried to make an out-of-source build with a configured/made source 
dir.

So, unless we have a technical reason that makes our lives harder, I don't 
think we should impose an arbitrary limitation. There's svn-clean 
anyways.
