Recomended project structure

Hi,

Does KDE have any recommendations for project conventions like e.g.
http://java.sun.com/blueprints/code/projectconventions.html?

Regarding the project structure, I think it is agreed that there should
be a src dir but, for instance, what name the unit tests dir should has
and where it should go? I've seen different things on the repository
like 'test', 'tests' and 'unittests' and it would be good if we could
standardize this.
BTW, one thing I noticed right from the beginning was that a lot of
projects had all the source code under the same directory, but I guess
that is a reflect of (ex) build system difficulties.
