I've confirmed the bug and applied the patch, thanks.

I didn't see any open bugs that were obviously caused by this, but I'm not 
sure this kind of bug would be easily diagnosed by the bt anyways, so I'm not 
sure if this fixes any reported bugs.

I'm kinda surprised that the Coverity scan didn't catch this. :)
