I would tend to 4.1.0, but 4.0.2 should be fine since we don't use 
-fvisibility-inlines-hidden anymore. Though I want to reintroduce that flag 
soon. 4.0.0 must be blacklisted anyway (yet another configure check being 
lost in the cmake transition BTW).

There are 6 outstanding visibility bugs in gcc 4.2 (SVN) even, so it depends 
on which level of "brokeness" you want to work around. 

Anyway, the gentoo patched gcc 3.3 is really evil, we should not try to 
support it.
