Nobody says it has to be autostarted. In fact, it shouldn't be. Just make it
a module for kcontrol/kcminit, faster, works, what do you need more?

Speaking of autostart abuse, it could be interesting to actually check how
many things don't belong there - WTH is there e.g. kgpg?
