This was indeed my initial request to the cmake people; to provide a
script named configure.
They liked the idea but they found it more interresting to go for the
alteration of the cmake command itself. I'm not sure if that, in their
mind, means cmake will not create/ship the configure script. Perhaps with
some help from a kde hacker :)
