I might be wrong, but isn't extragear for maintained apps that don't follow 
the KDE release cycle? I don't think it is a good idea to fill it with 
unmaintained applications. Perhaps playground or a kdeblackhole would be 
better places. Or simply removing it altogether, anybody who whishes to use 
it could grab it from an old release.
