Debian and Kubuntu provide libqt4-core and libqt4-gui. The dependencies are:

libqt4-core: libc6, libdbus-1-3, libfontconfig1, libgcc1, libglib2.0-0,
      libstdc++6, zlib1g
libqt4-gui: ...., libx11-6, ....

So, Kubunto alredy splits the libraries in exactly that way. If your 
distribution does not, complain to them as they are messing up...
