It's an issue up to i586. It's not an issue on recent x86 processors. I refer 
interested parties to Intel's technical documentation. I beg you not to come 
back before doing your homework.

So far, this thread is a big pile of nothing that tries to sound technical but 
is based on hearsay and invalid assumptions. This belongs to ./, not to 
kde-core-devel :(
