QMovies in icon themes

hi all...

has anybody put any thought into whether or not KDE will continue to support 
animated icons via QMovie in KDE4? it seems very few icon themes use them, 
and there's a fair amount of code in kicker's button implementation that is 
there to support them.

i'm a little concerned (though those concerns may be completely misplaced at 
this point) that when we go to implement more interesting button effects in 
KDE4 (e.g. when clicked or hovered) that ensuring it works with icons that 
are also animated may be a bit annoying.

i'd also like to limit the features that <0.01% of the population uses but 
which cause overhead for everyone and greater code complexity. =)
