As long as a user is able to mark such global bookmarks as deleted in his
personal bookmark view I think it's a nice feature. :)
I would even like it if such a merging feature is also supported for the user
herself. Such that she can have some apps only show up certain bookmarks but
have a global bookmark list where all are visible (e.g. you can have a set
of development related bookmarks in KDevelop which are integrated in your
global bookmark list you access within Konqueror). Might be even nice if
Konqueror itself supports subparts of bookmarks in his profiles. So one has a
banking profile with nothing but the banking bookmarks or a newspaper reading
profile with nothing but the news related bookmarks.
Just dreaming wild (it's quite late here) :)
