And, gosh, it'll take about 15 minutes to fix that one. .. done.

Now, back to the original issues: distinguish Forte from gcc; gcc is the 
_easy_ flavor to deal with on Solaris. Forte is a size-large pain in the ass, 
as I discovered halfway through kdecore.
