If you want I can move the subject there, but this naturally only checks 
if we want this from a usability perspective, not that someone will 
actually work on it.

Hmm, I just clicked on the link and read some text but this seems like a 
very unusable 'spec'. It confuses me that this is called a specification 
(on a domain with 'standards' in the name!) in the first place.
This document just documents an API, and is not a spec IMOHO.

Since details like _what_ is stored in the settings stuff is missing there 
hardly is anything the HCI group can comment on.  Now I just see it as a 
thin-dbus-replacement.

ps. I had a good laugh while reading the goals which say that the only 
data type to be stored are strings, nothing more complex.  Hmm, I 
thought, what does that make booleans? Very complex?
